Join us for a dinner cruise on the San Francisco Bay! The cruise departs from the marina at the conference hotel after the second day of presentations (Wednesday,13-Aug). Tickets for the dinner cruise can be purchased when you register online for the conference. The weather in August tends to be very nice, so we expect the limited number of dinner cruise tickets to sell out. Please purchase your tickets early.
The ticket price ($75) includes buffet dinner during a three-hour cruise. The menu will include pan-roasted salmon with caper beurre blanc, grilled chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms and roast sirloin of beef with horseradish cream, and will be accompanied by tortellini pasta salad with seasonal vegetables, herb and garlic-roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables , caesar salad with shaved asiago cheese and croutons, seasonal fruit, breads and rolls, and a selection of petite pastries and cakes. There will be a no-host cash bar for beverages as well.
The cruise will be aboard the Empress, a 100-foot motor yacht built in Freeport, Florida in 1988 and refitted in 1990. Her exterior is reminiscent of a turn of the century Paddle Wheel Riverboat while her interior provides the elegant amenities of a luxurious hotel or banquet room. Empress Hornblower is equipped with the rich woods and shining brass typical of Hornblower’s Yachts. Her two interior decks feature mahogany bars, chandeliers, wall sconces, hardwood dance floors and plush carpeting, as well as a fully equipped galley where all meals are prepared fresh by Hornblower’s talented chefs. Her promenade deck and expansive sun deck, complete with bar and awning, enable guests to enjoy starlight evenings. Guests are seated at tables graced with white linens, china and brass lantern centerpieces.
